Tomás is a serial social entrepreneur who has focused his career on transforming the conditions that undermine wellbeing for at-promise communities (i.e., historically marginalized populations). He is an Ashoka fellow, former CNN Hero and past NBC Latino Top 20 Innovator acclaimed for his groundbreaking work in the field of adolescent mental health. Tomás is an alumnus of Smith College School for Social Work and has served as a social entrepreneur in residence and adjunct lecturer at Stanford University where he has taught courses on social entrepreneurship and public service. Tomas lives in Oakland with his wife and their silky terrier.
Kyle has over ten years of experience in the financial services sector managing national operations and market development for audit business lines. Kyle previously served in litigation support for the Office of General Counsel at Deloitte where he worked on securities class actions, subpoena responses, and preference actions. During his career at Deloitte, he has also led strategy and implementation of various Diversity & Inclusion initiatives throughout the firm. For the last five years, Kyle has served as network leader for iConexion, a cross-sector community of Latinx C-suite and upper management professionals advocating for inclusive leadership at their respective organizations and beyond. Kyle is based in New York with he lives with his wife and two boys.
Mona specializes in strategic capacity-building for social sector organizations. Over the years she has worked with many social sectors leaders to help them build and lead effective and sustainable organizations that deliver high impact programs, products and services. Mona is passionate about helping leaders and organizations close the gap between aspiration and reality and about realizing human potential through the removal of structural and systemic barriers that limit it. Mona joined CFT because she is interested in innovative approaches to creating more equitable, inclusive and sustainable economies, enabling access to education, empowering girls and women, and protecting the environment. Mona is based in Washington DC.
